SOVIET CIVILIAN ORDERS II

   RED BANNER OF LABOR

This order was given for significant labor achievement.  The order comes in various sizes and manufactured types throughout its long history. Initially,  the order was a screw type; however, in 1943, the order, like many other orders, changed the way it was attached to clothing, and was attached to a five-sided metal ribbon holder.  The reverse of the order comes in several variations from solid to a depressed surface in later versions. # 7,492 has a master’s mark on the bottom left side which is unusual.
